About Us

Emily Claire LLC was founded by artist and designer Emily Claire Jacobs in early 2008.  Discovering a passion for art at a young age, Claire pursued her artistic interests through drawing and painting.  Continuing this interest at the collegiate level, she studied the art of Printmaking at Clemson University.  Claire obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Printmaking at Clemson and continued to further her study in both printmaking and drawing at Ohio University. There, she studied the human figure, creating large-scale drawings, which explored the communication of physical gestures: both in how they are perceived and what they reveal.

Afterward, Claire redirected her interest in the human form to another artistic medium, attending the Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina to study jewelry metalsmithing.  While attending Penland, she discovered an affinity for the techniques of metalsmithing. Becoming intrigued with how jewelry could communicate aspects of a woman’s identity and viewpoint, Claire then began to translate this interest into unique jewelry designs.

Shortly after, the Emily Claire jewelry line was born.  All Emily Claire jewelry is originally designed and hand fabricated.  Acknowledged for her hand forged pieces, intricate chains, and ‘Wire Wrapped’ line, Emily Claire jewelry is marked by classic designs and feminine elegance.
