AboutEmily Claire LLC was founded by artist and designer Claire Jacobs in early 2008. Discovering a passion for art at a young age, Claire pursued her artistic interests through drawing and painting. Continuing this interest at the collegiate level, she studied the art at Clemson University, obtain a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking. Later, Claire attended the Penland School of Crafts to learn the art of metalsmithing for jewelry. While attending Penland, she discovered an affinity for the techniques of metalsmithing and became intrigued with how jewelry could communicate aspects of a person’s identity and viewpoint. Shortly after, the Emily Claire Jewelry line was born. All Emily Claire jewelry is handcrafted using sterling silver and 18K gold. An estimated 80% of the metal used in these designs is either recycled or reclaimed. A Note From Claire After years of working as a 2D artist, focusing on printmaking and drawing, I decided to try my hand at metalsmithing. From the minute I picked up my jewelers saw, I was hooked. I became completely fascinated by the jewelry making process and could not wait to get to studio every day to start working. Since then, my enthusiasm for making jewelry has not faded, and I treasure the time I spend creating work in my studio. Thank you again for visiting, thank you for your support, and know that every piece of Emily Claire jewelry is handmade with love.
